Very large bed, very confortable
Room cold and no windows
Would like to have left back there after check out to continue shopping before catching train home. Staff not present at check out. Note on desk asking to leave your door card and sign self out.
Its location was great for us who did things around the harbour and CBD.Surprisingly quiet.
Definitely not a 3.5 star hotel. Much more like a hostel in every way. Reception staff were varied in quality. The first one brilliant, helpful and courteous, the second less than helpful spending too much time on her cell phone to be of help to clients and the third one quite satisfactory but ordinary. Our TV did not work and despite telling reception it was not fixed.Inspite of being told the fromt door would be closed at 10p.m. for security reasons when we returned at past 11p.m. it was still propped open!
The location was very convenient to the harbour and ferries.
No elevator ... you had to climb up 2 flights of stairs to check in, then climb another 2 flights up to your room. In our bathroom, the main door would not easily close and had to be dragged across the floor to close it. One day, our cold water had been turned off because the shower head was leaking but no one advised us before we stepped into the shower ... we were lucky not to get scalded.
Conveneint location for my purpose.
Lack of air con during warm nights
We had to lug two large cases up two lots of stairs after a 11 hour flight. There was no reverse cycle air conditioner in the room - or anything of any type that we could see. The bed seemed to be a very old uncomfortable mattress.
There was no advice that there was no lift at the hotel - until the booking receipt conditions page. It would be helpful if it was made clear on the website that there are at least 2 or 3 steep flights of stairs to reach the rooms and that the hotel may be unsuitable for older or unfit people. It may be too difficult to haul cases up the stairs to their rooms. It spoilt our trip to some extent.
having to use stairs and take suitcases up stairs, very hard
good exercise to not have a lift
the shower tap leaked through the night the full flush of the toilet was stuck the fire alarm could be triggered if the door the the shower was not shut the airconditioning could not be changed in the room
Best location in Sydney! Excellent price! Obviously the hotel is not 5stars but there is running hot water, air conditioning, comfy bed and a TV that works so what more else could you want? This is truly a great location- so close to everything and the price makes it perfect for young couples.
Was convenient to everything ...ie; Pitt Street & Circular Quay.
All the stairs...lugging luggage, although the girls came and helped.
Location was excellent.
Where to start Room was very small No lift which was ok for me, but I had to help an elderly lady with her bags because none of the staff would do it. Dirty room - filthy marks all over the walls, pubic hairs still in the bathroom. No tea or coffee makings Looks shady from the outside.
It was close to everything.
The room was too small, no value for money charged. Bathroom was ridiculous, the toilet faced a wall that was 5 inches away from your face...!!! Coffee cups were chipped, oh&s issue here. Our room was right next door to the hotel laundry. Would not recommend this hotel.
Cheap, walking distance to most attractions, Kitchen facilites
The stairs were a killer after a big day. Some creepy crawlies in the kitchen
Great Location, staff were friendly and accomodating, comfortable bed, good choice of tv chanels and unexpected extra facilities as well
I read previous reviews about the stairs, they are not ideal if you dont like the idea of stairs but it wasnt any bother for me and I had two bags and was on the second floor but i can imagine not so could for those with limitation
